Ramayana Day 1 Collection Prediction and Lifetime Collection Prediction: How Big Can It Open?

Important note first, in simple words: Ramayana has not released yet. It will release on 5 November 2026. So the Day 1 number in this blog is not a real number. It is a prediction. We made this prediction by looking at advance booking, past big films, and the Diwali holiday. We will update this same blog on 6 November with the real Day 1 collection. Please do not share the prediction number as the final number.

Quick Answer

  • Film: Ramayana: Part One
  • Release date: 5 November 2026, Thursday, Diwali week
  • Paid previews: Evening of 4 November 2026
  • Our Day 1 prediction, worldwide gross: Rs 185 crore
  • Our Day 1 prediction, India gross: Rs 125 crore
  • Our lifetime prediction, worldwide gross:
  • If talk is negative: Rs 500 crore
  • If talk is average: Rs 800 crore
  • If talk is positive: Rs 1,500 crore and above

These are predictions. The real numbers will depend on one thing more than anything else: what people say after watching the first shows.

What Is This Film?

Ramayana: Part One is a big mythological film. It is directed by Nitesh Tiwari. He made Dangal before this.

The main cast is:

  • Ranbir Kapoor as Rama
  • Sai Pallavi as Sita
  • Yash as Ravana
  • Sunny Deol as Hanuman
  • Ravie Dubey as Lakshman

The film will release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. Part Two is planned for Diwali 2027.

The makers have said both parts together cost Rs 4,000 crore. That is a very big number. It is the biggest budget for an Indian film. This does not mean Part One alone must earn Rs 4,000 crore. The makers will count both parts together, plus money from other countries, over time. Still, Part One must open big. A big opening gives confidence for Part Two.

Advance Booking So Far: The Numbers We Know

Advance booking means tickets sold before the film releases. Here are the simple, checked numbers.

On 24 October 2026

  • Total advance booking in India: Rs 10.14 crore gross
  • Tickets sold: about 1.81 lakh
  • Shows: about 4,339
  • Hindi version: Rs 8.89 crore, about 88% of the total
  • Kannada version: Rs 96.37 lakh
  • Telugu version: Rs 28.11 lakh

On 29 October 2026

  • Total advance booking in India: Rs 15.57 crore gross, including blocked seats
  • Without blocked seats: Rs 12.77 crore
  • Tickets sold: about 2.97 lakh
  • Shows: about 6,382
  • Hindi version: Rs 13.07 crore, about 84% of the total
  • Kannada version: Rs 2.04 crore

A later update on the same day, 29 October evening, put the total at Rs 15.94 crore gross, and Rs 13.12 crore without blocked seats, with about 3.07 lakh tickets.

What is a blocked seat? A simple explanation

Sometimes theatres block some seats. They are not sold yet. They are kept aside. So the gross number looks bigger than the real sold tickets. That is why we always show both numbers: with blocked seats, and without blocked seats. The number without blocked seats is closer to real ticket sales.

What do these numbers tell us?

Three simple things:

  1. Booking is growing fast. In 5 days, it went from about Rs 10 crore to about Rs 16 crore.
  2. Hindi is leading, but Kannada is growing fast too. Kannada went from about Rs 96 lakh to Rs 2.04 crore. That is more than double. The main reason is Yash. In Karnataka, people are booking this film as Yash’s film.
  3. IMAX is very strong. IMAX shows are only about 3.8% of all shows, but they give about 25% of advance money. IMAX tickets are costly. The average IMAX ticket is about Rs 1,095. A normal ticket is about Rs 380. In Mumbai, a top IMAX seat was listed at Rs 3,170. People are ready to pay more for a big screen experience for this film.

Bengaluru is one of the top cities for advance booking, along with Delhi-NCR and Mumbai. Maharashtra, Delhi, and Karnataka are the top states so far.

Ramayana Day 1 Collection Prediction

Day 1 means 5 November 2026, the first full day. Paid previews on 4 November evening will also add some money, but trade reports usually count Day 1 separately.

Here is our Day 1 prediction, in gross. Gross means money before tax. Net means money after tax. Our Day 1 numbers below are gross, so they will look bigger than net numbers.

AreaDay 1 Gross Prediction
North IndiaRs 70 crore
KarnatakaRs 30 crore
Telugu StatesRs 15 crore
Tamil Nadu and KeralaRs 10 crore
Total IndiaRs 125 crore
OverseasRs 60 crore
Total WorldwideRs 185 crore

Let us check the maths in simple words: 70 + 30 = 100. 100 + 15 = 115. 115 + 10 = 125. That is India. 125 + 60 = 185. That is worldwide.

Why do we think Day 1 can be this big? Three reasons:

  1. Advance booking is already strong, 6 days before release, and it is still growing every day.
  2. It is Diwali week. More people go to theatres during Diwali.
  3. It is a Thursday release. A Thursday release gives a long first weekend. People who cannot watch on Thursday can watch on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Karnataka deserves a special note here. Our Karnataka Day 1 prediction is Rs 30 crore gross. That is high, and it shows how big Yash is in Karnataka. Bengaluru will carry most of Karnataka’s money, just like in advance booking. In Karnataka, the film is not sold only as “Ranbir Kapoor’s film”. It is sold as “Yash as Ravana”. That helps a lot.

What can change this number?

  • Word of mouth from 4 November previews. If people who watch previews say “must watch”, Day 1 will jump. If they say “average”, Day 1 will stay normal.
  • Number of shows. More shows on Day 1 means more tickets can be sold. Makers are still adding shows.
  • Reviews. Good reviews help family audiences. Bad reviews slow down the second day.
  • Weather and local holidays. This is small, but it can affect some cities.

Ramayana Lifetime Collection Prediction

Lifetime means total money the film earns in theatres, from Day 1 till it stops running. This is the number people remember.

Here is our lifetime prediction, worldwide gross:

Talk After ReleaseLifetime Worldwide Gross Prediction
If talk is negativeRs 500 crore
If talk is averageRs 800 crore
If talk is positiveRs 1,500 crore and above

In simple words:

  • If people do not like the film, it can still cross Rs 500 crore worldwide, because the opening is so big and the film is so well known.
  • If people like it in an average way, Rs 800 crore worldwide is our prediction.
  • If people love it and call it a must-watch epic, Rs 1,500 crore and above is possible. That would make it one of the biggest Indian films ever.

Why is lifetime hard to predict now? Because Ramayana is not a normal masala film. It is a mythological epic. Family audiences, older audiences, and children may watch it slowly over weeks, not only in week 1. If schools and families plan trips to watch it, the film can run long. If young audiences find it slow, it can drop fast after week 1.

Will Ramayana Be a Hit or Flop?

This is the question everyone asks. In simple words, here is the honest answer:

We cannot call it a hit or flop before release. The budget is very big, Rs 4,000 crore for both parts. No single film in India has earned that much from Part One alone. So trade people will not judge Part One only by “did it earn Rs 4,000 crore?” They will judge it by:

  1. Did it open big?
  2. Did people like it?
  3. Did it earn well in India and other countries?
  4. Does it create excitement for Part Two?

If Day 1 worldwide is Rs 185 crore as predicted, and lifetime goes to Rs 800 crore or more, most people will call Part One a success. If lifetime stops near Rs 500 crore with negative talk, it will be called a disappointment, even with a good opening.

The safest way to read it after release is: Day 1 tells us about hype. Week 1 tells us about acceptance. Lifetime tells us about love for the film.

What to Watch After Release

After 5 November, watch these 3 things:

  1. Day 1 gross in India and worldwide. This is the first real number. Compare it with our prediction: India Rs 125 crore gross, worldwide Rs 185 crore gross.
  2. Day 2 and Day 3. If Day 2 is close to Day 1, talk is good. If Day 2 drops a lot, talk is weak.
  3. Second weekend. If the second weekend is strong, the film will have a long life.

We will update this blog with real numbers on 6 November (Day 1), then after the first weekend, then after week 1.
